State mandated Gardasil shots for preteen girls to protect them from the viruses that causes cervical cancer, are targeting the wrong age group. Middle-school girls inoculated with the HPV vaccine will be no older than eighteen when they pass Gardasil’s five-year window of proven effectiveness — more than a decade before the typical cancer patient contracts the sexually transmitted human papillomavirus (HPV). Merck & Co. has repeatedly refused to respond to requests for its HPV incubation statistics, stating that it is still studying the longevity of Gardasil.
No matter where you stand within the American, political color-spectrum, Reds and Blues all agree: Michelle Obama is a fiercely protective Momma. To my mind that is a very good thing. However as the Adverse Reactions to the HPV vaccine Garasil continue to mount, I find myself asking WWMOD? What Will Michelle Obama DO?
We are presently addressing an issue that involves the health and well being of every young girl and young women in the world. This is in regards to the HPV vaccines. With international collaboration we brought together information about these two vaccines and distributed a detailed paper to the 13 scientists that advise the EU but to other concerned parties such as the Minister of Health for Germany. We are seeing good responses coming from England, Scotland and the Netherlands in regards to efforts being made to suspend these vaccines pending further safety studies, etc. Since the distribution of this paper and a second paper to these scientists and other concerned parties we are now seeing an upsurge in responses from other countries around the world.
The Gardasil issues I researched were the relatively limited trial period, the sketchy trail data; the cost benefit of a drug that was design to prevent a cancer that has been declining in both incidence and mortality for over 40-years. Cervical cancer is easily detected by regular PAP screening and in the early stages, the most treatable cancer. The other aspect of Gardasil roll-up that didn’t pass the smell test was the Merck Marauder School of lobbying today for a more profitable tomorrow. Merck literally carpet-bombed the halls of power and influence with cash to get GARDASIL approved by the FDA (while holding up the Glaxo HPV-vaccine, Cervarix), they got Gardasil endorsed by the CDC and mandated in many states as yet another vaccine necessary to attend school, and managed to get state legislators to pass bills to force insurance companies to pay for the Gardasil shot. As I researched the payouts and pay offs of state, local and federal representatives, I asked when did safety go on sale? Then I found out about Merck paying doctors to go on the stump to endorse Gardasil. Some docs with great speaking skills picked up several hundred thousand dollars in a year. Then there was the scandal about “Medical Journal-Like’ publications written by ‘bought and paid for’ doctors who dutifully regurgitated the WORD according to Merck.
By promoting vaccination as a public health imperative mandated by government, rather than as a private choice, Merck has opened the door to the inherently uncomfortable discussion of whether mandatory vaccination is cost effective. Since Merck claims Gardasil protects against the two strains of HPV that cause 70 percent of cancers, women will still need but may be less likely to get Pap smear tests to catch the signs of cervical cancers caused by the other 30 percent of dangerous strains.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday strengthened warnings on Merck & Co.’s (MRK) Gardasil vaccine about fainting after receiving reports of “traumatic injuries” among some vaccine recipients. In a posting aimed at health-care professionals posted to the agency’s Web site, the FDA said all vaccine recipients should remain seated or lying down and be closely observed for 15 minutes following vaccination “to prevent falls and injuries.”
International Coalition of Advocates for the People’s first educational advocacy effort has been a success. Seven women who became international advocates wrote a paper about HPV vaccines to educate all necessary parties in Europe. This paper has been distributed throughout Europe and to select individuals in the United States. Presently, thirteen German scientists from the Robert Koch Institute are questioning the effectiveness of these vaccines. They are also asking for evidence now from the Standing Committee based on the scientists’ views.
Netherlands-based advocates, Janny Stokvis and Annelies Witlam have worked tirelessly to distribute the HPV-vaccine research paper produced by International Coalition of Advocates For The People and submitted to the Robert Koch Institute for review. They have supported the HPV-vaccine education process in the Netherlands, the UK, EU Canada and America and are founding members of the International Coalition of Advocates For The People (ICAP). I am proud to be counted amongst their professional associates.
All any of us, who have raised questions about the rapid deployment of the HPV vaccines, Gadasil and Cervarix, have ever wanted, is an objective review of the clinic trial information by scientist not related to Big Pharma. In Germany, the Robert Koch Institute is in that process right now. The question American, Canadian, and other EU citizens are asking is, “Why are our own governmental agencies and regulators so against a similar objective review of the clinic trial information and independent medical review of the thousands of reported HPV-vaccine adverse effect cases? Is the no “Robert Koch Institute-like” organization that can ask the questions for our citizens?”
Free beauty treatments and free IPODS and other goodies in prize draws are being offered to young girls if they have the HPV vaccines. However, is it morally correct to coerce youngsters into conforming? At present the HPV vaccination programme is being questioned by many Governments as to it’s safety and some countries have even withdrawn from the programme altogether.
